The Aria Hotel – Budapest

Unique modern luxury

Where luxury meets modern design for an unforgettable stay

The Aria Hotel in Budapest is a luxury boutique hotel dedicated to music. That’s an unusual concept for a luxury hotel. The place is kind of cool, yet a full luxury hotel.

Named by TripAdvisor as the “#1 Hotel in the World” in 2017, the Aria is ready to pamper you with outstanding services and unique treats.

Let me put it this way: If you’re into music, this place will be a remarkable experience to the beat of your favorite songs or pieces along with fine-dining, maybe the best bar in Budapest and a spa service worthy of spending a whole day relaxing.

Walk inside the Aria and follow a spectacular piano-themed floor to the lobby, where you will find one of the most exquisite pieces of design of this century — a jet-black grand piano designed by Gergely Bogányi. This piece is estimated at 1 million dollars, only two pieces existing in the world. Look up to see the impressice Swarovski crystal chandeliers and the blue sky peeking through the glass ceiling.

The Aria knows how to catch your attention with every detail.

Location

Hercegprímás utca 5 Budapest H-1051, Hungary

Budapest is slowly turning into a destination for luxury traveling.

The Aria Hotel opened its doors in 2015. The building is a 19th old century arquitectural masterpiece that was revamped and updated to create a modern yet refined space, maintaining some original features that create a unique vibe – that is why the Aria Hotel is the millionaires choice for staying in Budapest.

The building arises in the historic city center on the Pest side of the river. From its balconies and its breathtaking rooftop you will have spectacular views over monuments, beautiful pedestrian streets and the whole city including the river.

The Aria Hotel is located right besides the St. Stephens Basilica, a real Budapest landmark you must visit in your lifetime anyway.

The rooftop bar of the Aria Hotel, the High Note Sky Bar, is a great place to take some pictures with the Basilica in the background. Tough to get such amazing pictures anywhere else in this city.

The famous rooftop bar High Note Sky Bar. Meeting point for Budapest’s young and hip society.

When you go for a walk around the Aria Hotel don’t forget to bring your wallet because the famous Andrássy Avenue (the best shopping avenue in Budapest) is just around the corner. From Rolex to Cartier, Gucci, Chanel, Armani and Dior, every high-end designer label has a store along this elegant shopping mile.

Rooms and Suites

The Aria Hotel has 44 rooms and 5 suites.

Its musical concept expands in four different hotel wings — each dedicated to one genre of music.

The building surrounds the Music Garden Courtyard (the lobby with the grand piano). You can choose if you want your room to face the cobblestone pedestrian streets with a semi-private balcony or if you want a more private space, overlooking the peaceful Music Garden.

For me, the best option is getting one of the rooms with a balcony facing the inside.

Even the mirrors are carefully placed in the center of a panoramic view of the outside in the privacy of your shower.

These balconies provide a much more private space with super comfortable lounging chairs for you to relax while you listen to your favorite music and try some fine chocolates (the hotel’s complimentary treat).

Every room is themed around a musical artist so you get to choose your favorite and live in a room as a true cultural legend. They feature modern lines in design with amazing comfort and super sized beds for you to feel at home. You can even adjust the plush of the mattresses at your liking.

The bathrooms are fully equipped with warm lighting (what a bliss in this energy-saving, increasingly cold LED-lighted world), towel heaters and beautiful tones of gold and silver along with the marble that adds some luxury to the modern design.

Expect an amazing concierge service, fast wi-fi and state of the art multimedia technology to make you feel at home.

The modern luxury shines in details like beautiful leather-covered walls on the bathrooms

The suites at the Aria Hotel follow the same theme of modern luxury and are fit for every true lover of all the finer things in life.

Love, luxury and music are the themes and the suites are very private and welcoming. The hotel even offers the package “Create your Suite” so you can design a unique space for yourself, combining all your favorite areas.

The coffee table at the parlor is mirrored so it reflects light and creates a welcoming open-space.

Along with exquisite furniture, French lacquered writing tables and lustful fabrics and pillows, the suits are equipped with outstanding technology. Entertain yourself with the interactive multimedia entertainment system and create your own cinema with the home theatre projector.

The Romeo and Juliet Opera Balcony suite is a testament to beautiful and luxurious decor with a nice touch of modern design pieces and bold, vibrant colours.

Attention to detail is what the Aria Hotel is good at.

Beds with various options of pillows for maximum comfort and the finest linens and fabrics.

If you just need to relax, the chaise longue is highly recommended — so soft and comfortable you will instantly fall into a dreamy state.

Pool and Spa

The Aria Hotel has a fully equipped fitness center where you can request personal trainers or even a yoga teacher ready to brighten up your morning at the rooftop of the building.

When it comes to the spa services, the Aria is best at combining a ful relaxation experience with state-of-the-art equipment and a lavish 35 ft heated indoor swimming pool.

Go for a dip in the gorgeous lighted pool and lay down on one of the private cabanas, a quiet space where you can spend a perfectly relaxed hour or two on a lazy afternoon.

One of the Aria Hotel’s most known services is the Harmony Spa – a world renowned center that already won the prestigious “Europe’s Best Wellness Spa” price in 2015.

The Harmony Spa offers a variety of services. You can get a facial treatment with anti-aging properties or a revitalizing body treatment for example.

You must try the full relaxing experience of the “Contemporary Lovers” spa treatment. A body scrub combined with a soothing full-body massage designed to ease your mind and get you in the mood for a splendid dinner.

Breakfast and Dining

No luxury stay would be truly remarkable without fine dining and a breakfast that will only offer you the best.

The cuisine is provided by the acclaimed Gerbeaud brand — which manages one of Europe’s most famous cafés and confectioneries.

The chic design and ambience of the Stradivari Restaurant is completed with extraordinary silverware and velvety chairs to create a unique luxury meal experience.

In 2017 Gerbeaud took over the Aria Hotel’s breakfast and dining services to provide the finest breakfast and a gourmet dinner to all guests.

Everyday from 4pm to 6pm at the Music Garden Courtyard there is a complimentary service of wine and cheese, followed by live piano music on the award-winning grand piano. Don’t forget to check this exclusive offer, you will love every second of it.

The Stradivari Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Gerbaud breakfast is a mere pleasure. Besides the usual continental breakfast choices, there is cured salmon (quite a treat) and a vast offer of Hungarian and international cheeses available every day, as well as home made fruit yogurts or home baked croissants or fresh fruits from all parts of the world.

Ask for the home made oatmeal with berries — a fantastic sweet plate that is only available to order.

For dinner, try their Tournedos Rossini (beef tenderloin with foie gras and sea mushrooms) and the German Black Forest cake interpretation with sour cherry.

When the sun goes down, the legendary rooftop of the Aria Hotel is the place to be.

The High Note Sky Bar has the best night life experience of all Budapest – complete with the most amazing 360 degree view over the city.

The Bar is open all year long.

Find a private spot in one of the sofas and end your night with a very special cocktail. May I suggest the Andrea Rost, named after the famous Hungarian soprano – a delightful mix of champagne, grapefruit and Grand Marnier, delicate and fruity, but not too sour.

Enjoy.
